Our first attempt at carving pumpkins as a family (ever! Joel and I have never done this!!)
There is no need to rake our leaves since there is a huge grove of trees beyond our house, and no neighbors to complain if they are left on the ground. But raking leaves so that your two year old can learn the joy of jumping, throwing and laying in leaves is a different thing all together!
I have been wanting to go to this festival since we moved here 2 1/2 years ago. I was a little disappointed since it was just like every other festival that I have ever been to, just pumpkin themed. Lydia had a lot of fun though and loved that she was 'in charge' and could choose where we walked and what we looked at. We ended the day with a corndog and pumpkin fudge!
Roasting hotdogs with homemade chili, eating s'mores, and having fun in our backyard. Going inside and taking warm showers- it doesn't get better than this!
