On the first day of spring, my true love gave to me.....

9 hours working in the yard.

And we flew a kite that got away- it was the coolest part of the day, it went way up to the cloud level and we could still see it.  I wonder what the people joy riding in their planes thought....

So excited for my raised bed.

Lydia named an earth worm "Handy Manny" and invited him to come in our house to live with us, until he jumped in her lap.  After that she wanted nothing to do with him.

Married couples prom

It was a blast!  We got a babysitter and had a night out on the town.  Joel surprised me with a dozen long stem roses, Lydia knew after that they he really was a prince.

We went out to a Japanese steakhouse and had a yummy dinner and show.  Then we danced the night away.
Joel was by far the best prom date I have ever had.  He even waltzed, two-stepped and line danced with me.
We had to leave early because at 11:00 Lydia was not going down, the moment we walked in the door her babysitter informed us that she had just fallen asleep..... I was so tempted to turn around and go back!

It is so important to court your spouse, I love being married, and love who I am married to. 

Lydi's Jingle bells

Lydia always has a song in her head.  How do I know this?  Because all throughout the day at random times, she bursts out in song.  Yesterday it was the Apples and Bananas song.  Lately, meaning since Christmas, she has had the same song in her head.  She always comes back to this song.  You know how it is when you have a song in your head, and it won't go away- I think she's having that problem.  You know how annoying it is when you have a song in your head, and you don't know all of the words.... that totally bugs me.  Not Lydia though, she just makes up the words she doesn't know.  Now Lydia has the cutest voice that you have ever heard.  It is squeaky, and raspy at the same time.  It is sometimes the cute high pitch little girl voice, but lately has been getting lower.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way.  Oh mas sun, the Christmas ride, oh mas Santa's sleigh HEY!

Lydia, why do you talk so much? (we count, she doesn't go longer than 30 seconds without talking, unless she is
eating, sleeping, or watching tv)

Because I have a lovely voice!
