MATCH*** mATch ** match**

The third week of March is very monumental for Medical Students.  It is during this week that you find out if all of your hard work was enough.

For 8 years Joel has wanted to work in Radiation Oncology.  First as a medical physicist, then he set his sights higher and wanted to be a M.D.  We knew that would require A LOT of hard work.  He would have to be one of the best.

Of the many different specialties that a medical student can choose to pursue, there are some that are more competitive than others.  Of course Radiation Oncology is one of them.

We have only one more winter like this:

One more year.......

And then.........

My husband made it!! He is a M.D.- a RADIATION ONCOLOGIST!!

Spa Night

One night for her bedtime story I told Lydia of this magical placed called A Spa. They have chairs that massage you, soft music playing, comfy robes to wear, and warm water for your feet. Someone comes and massages your legs and feet. Then there is a huge wall filled with beautiful jewel colored nail polish.
Natually she was intrigued.
So we had Spa night the next night Joel worked late. The robe was warmed in the dryer, and nail polish colors were lined up on the couch. As soon as she was settled in the warm water, she sighed and closed her eyes. (that is after a quick run to the restroom, you know, warm water....) I massaged and buffed her feet, then painted them a lovely misletoe red. Then her feet had another soak in the warm water.
A Spa Junkie was born.

Puppy has been her good friend for several years now. He was there when she went into nursery, and any other time that she has needed him. His tail generally resides in her hand as she sleeps. Lydia decided that he needed his own pillow for a rare nap.
