Answers to Prayers
I think it's interesting how prayers are answered,
EVERY TIME
I can't think of a single prayer so far that hasn't been answered in one way or another. Granted, some prayers have taken years to see the answer, others the answer is a calm feeling of peace.Recently, a big prayer has been answered. I think I have mentioned how lonely little Lydia has been lately. She is really feeling the absence of another sibling lately and has taken up with imaginary friends- like dozens of them. If I didn't have education experience in Early Childhood Education/ Psychology, I would have really worried about it....
Right now our most frequent visitors are Alex (from Madagascar 2), and Rebecca (a girl who lived here over a year ago, I'm not sure if they are the same person, but they share the same name). But she has at least 3 over a day, and she never confuses the names of the visitors. We have to get drinks for them and teach them manners.
Well there is this little girl that I have been watching, it has been amazing. She brings such joy to our home, and Lydia loves her so much. There is a little bit of bickering and stuff like that, but I LOVE it. It is so great when they bicker, because it is a chance for Lydia to learn from her mom the loving way that we should respond to others. I was really worried about sending her away to Preschool or even Kindergarten without being able to help her resolve these situations.
Who knows if she would learn and really understand the importance of forgiveness and repentance. The attributes of patience and sacrifice. For a child this young, they don't learn from teaching, but from experiencing.
We frequently have playdates and other interactions with children, but Lydia is such a peace child that she needs to be around someone a lot before she will bicker with them.
I had prayed ever since she was a baby for another child, but lately the prayers have been more, Please let me be enough for her, and PLEASE lend me guidance for what she needs. I love seeing the Lord's hand in my life, and more than that, I am grateful for the knowledge that the Lord's hand will always be in my life.

On the first day of spring, my true love gave to me.....

9 hours working in the yard.
And we flew a kite that got away- it was the coolest part of the day, it went way up to the cloud level and we could still see it. I wonder what the people joy riding in their planes thought....
So excited for my raised bed.
Lydia named an earth worm "Handy Manny" and invited him to come in our house to live with us, until he jumped in her lap. After that she wanted nothing to do with him.
